lunch @ ramen dojo

every time when people ask me about my favorite ramen place, my answer is always santa ramen in san mateo...  then they often bounce back with the question, have you tried ramen dojo?!  and, how ramen dojo is so much better than santa ramen.  believe it or not, i have actually never tried ramen dojo until today!  with all the hypes i was hearing, i had pretty high hopes going in to this ramen joint which is located at the old santa ramen location.  to be honest, i was a bit disappointed.  don't get me wrong, i am not saying it's bad ramen.  just when compared with santa ramen, i still like santa ramen more.  here are some of the reasons it didn't quiet cut it for me...  i am someone who is very big on soup.  the soup at ramen dojo is a little bland compared to santa ramen.  and, the proportion of the noodle and the soup.  i feel they can either put a little less noodle in the bowl or use a slightly bigger bowl.  i just feel there wasn't enough soup in my bowl with the amount of noodle in there.  the toppings at ramen dojo definitely look more appealing than santa ramen.  but, the chicken gravy didn't really do it for me.  at last, they don't offer santa ramen's delicious stewed pork!

aight, this is just my take on my fav ramen!  ;)
